Der zweite Tag unseres Kurztrips nach UK stand ganz im Zeichen von Netzwerkarbeit.
Noch einmal ging es zurück zur Universität Birmingham - mit ein wenig Zeit zur Besichtigung des Campus.
Dort trafen wir den Chorleiter Jeffrey Skidmore von Ex Cathedra, um über eine mögliche Zusammenarbeit zu sprechen. Vielleicht gelingt es, die Bonhoeffer-Messe auch in Großbritannien zur Aufführung zu bringen.

The second day of our short trip to the UK was all about networking. Once again, we returned to the University of Birmingham - with a little time to visit the campus. There we met the choirmaster Jeffrey Skidmore from Ex Cathedra to talk about a possible collaboration. Perhaps it will be possible to perform the Bonhoeffer Mass in the UK.

Mit dem Zug ging es dann weiter nach Coventry, wo wir von Nikolai Press empfangen wurden und eine Stadtführung bekamen. Er selbst engagiert sich für den Austausch zwischen Coventry und der Partnerstadt Dresden. Wir sprachen am Nachmittag über einige Möglichkeiten zukünftiger Zusammenarbeit. We then travelled on to Coventry by train, where we were welcomed by Nikolai Press and given a tour of the city. He himself is involved in the exchange between Coventry and the twin city of Dresden. In the afternoon, we talked about some possibilities for future collaboration. Ensemble Nobiles in Coventry Cathedral next year? You can be curious.

Und nach nur zwei Tagen sind wir schon wieder auf dem Heimweg und freuen uns auf kommende Kooperationen in Großbritannien im nächsten Jahr.

And after just two days, we are already on our way home again and looking forward to upcoming collaborations in the UK next year.
